Weekend Supervisor

Job Description:
Bridgeton, MO Weekend Supervisor Position
Summary:
Schedule and dispatch drivers to deliver freight.
Duties may include using Qualcomm device, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on work progress.
Essential Functions:
Monitor personnel and driver utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using Qualcomm devices or telephones.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service.
Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.
Communicate to driver's, including but not limited to, load information, advances, and safety procedures.
Responsible for on-time pick up and delivery performance, out of route miles, hours of service compliance, special routing needs.
Insure that each driver has an adequate understanding of customer and company expectations.
Daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
Daily interactions with drivers, other operation staff and management via Qualcomm, telephone and in person.
Monitor on-time performance for customers.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
No prior experience necessary Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
